"Fifties Flashback" cruise nights livin up '50s fun!!

Come cruisin' with us on Friday nights this summer down to Stoney Creek at the scenic Battlefield House Park.

There Elvis tribute artist Grand Champion and the co-founder of the Collingwood Elvis Festival Frankie Greco will be there, with cruisin' fans as well as many of the era's coolest classic cars, hot rods, and customs.

It's all part of the Friday Night Fifties Flashback car cruise and lifestyle events, run by Stoney Creek Battlefield Cruisers Car Club to raise funds for The East Hamilton Optimist Club and for Battlefield House Historical Society, Fridays from 6-dusk.

Popular and rare 1950's and early 1960's music kicks off the season on June 13, while throughout June, July, August, and September there will be more live shows, surprise special guest to entertain the family, as well as barbeque from M & M meats, prizes and plenty of '50s lifestyle food, pop and frozen tasty dairy products from Mr. Frostee Freeze. The season ending cruise night on Oct.3 will feature a drive-in movie out of the 50's that will knock your bobby socks off!!!.

Battlefield House Park, located at the bottom of Centennial Parkway South and King St west at Battlefield House, behind the Nash-Jackson Home, features the children's play area , the Battlefield Monument, Battlefield House, and a seagull free food area at the Pavilion. Take a tour of the Historical Homes and the Monument. Picnic on the grounds or bring your own lawn chairs. Enjoy the show and have a 'convo' with entertainers, theme people and, the pre 1979 classic car drivers.

There are event nights. Prizes will be awarded for the best theme of the 1950's such as hula hoop, bobbysoxer, best greaser and 50's pin up girl on any given evening. Hey cool cats cuff your jeans, put on your best saddle shoes, dax back and kiss curl the do, with your chicks you can get your kicks when everyone will jet on back into the 1950s.

The event is sponsored by Queenston Chevrolet Corvette and The Stoney Creek Battlefield Cruisers however a buck or two donation at the gate will get you a door prize ticket to draw and win one of many prizes. There will also be raffles and 50/50 draws . Proceeds will go to the East Hamilton Optimists and to the the Stoney Creek Battlefield House Historical society we are a non-profit car club who really loves the 1950's
