In the Fifties, before there were Beatles Concerts, Woodstock, Deadheads, Disco, and Heavy Metal, there were The "Teen Idol's." This is what the Entertainment Media called them at least. To anyone growing up in the fifties, these were just people we all wanted to dress like, talk like and act like. Heck, we wanted to BE them.
The Magazines were full of their pictures, and the big screen is where you got to see them up-close and personal. When was the last time you saw Elvis?, or Troy?, or Doug?, or Ricky?, or Frankie?. Well they are all on this page and a few others who may have slipped your mind over the years. One of the nice things about doing a Website is all the great people you meet through email. Many people have helped me . No one likes feedback more then I do. One of the really special people is MARILYNN. All of these posters hung on her bedroom wall for many years, much to her Mother's dismay. (tack holes in the walls) Then the Pictures were put away in a Scrapbook and left for 35 years until we started emailing about the site. One thing led to another, and she faithfully scanned every poster that you see here. So in reality, this is really her page. (5/28/97)
