I'm a 25 year old from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I am a student at the University of Toronto where I am working my way towards a law degree. I got this interest in the 50s from my father who would tell me all about cruising in his 55 Pontiac as I was growing up. By the time I turned 16 I wanted my own 50s car but, working at a Canadian Tire Garage sweeping floors for $5/hr, I could not afford one. I started putting a bit of money away here and there but it was tough as I was saving for my education at the same time. I was determined though and last summer I happened to come across a Canadian built 1957 Ford Custom 300 Tudor with only 55,000 original miles on it. The car is in excellent condition with the exception of a dent in the passenger side fender and a broken drivers door window. Since the car hasn't been driven since about the time Lyndon Johnson resigned, the seals, tires, and suspension parts all needed replacing too. Within a matter of weeks the Ford was at its first cruise night. I love it when people come up to me and tell me how seeing my car brings back their own memories of cruising in the 50s. Of course I also hear a lot of "This your dad's car?" and "Your father has a nice car." but I've gotten used to it. Anyways, I've babbled on long enough. Happy cruising :)
